PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Florida will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. to open the 2019 Division I NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship, meeting Johns Hopkins in the First Round on Friday, May 10.
The Gators (13-6), the American Athletic Conference champions, advance to their ninth-consecutive NCAA Championship after collecting their sixth-straight conference crown on Saturday. Florida defeated Cincinnati 16-9 in league’s inaugural title game, securing The American’s automatic bid. Currently ranked No. 18 in the IWLCA poll, the Gators enter the national tournament on a 10-game win streak.
All-time, Florida boasts a 7-8 all-time record in the NCAA Championship.
