Wichita State heads into its home opener on Wednesday riding a five-game winning streak after defeating DePaul and Texas Southern on Sunday.
Laurie Derrico came up with her third home run of the season in the 6-2 win over DePaul, while Asea Webber collected her first home run of the season and added three RBI in a 3-for-3 performance in the 8-1 win over Texas Southern. Caitlin Bingham won her ninth game of the season, striking out six DePaul batters. Hailey Martinez pitched a career-high seven innings, only allowing three Texas Southern hits in her first career complete game.
