IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly swimming and diving awards.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Christie Chue, Sophomore, FIU
In meets against Liberty on Oct. 28 and Illinois on Nov. 4, Chue picked up five first-place finishes out of six individual events she competed in. She swept the breaststroke events in both meets and won the 400-yard individual medley against the Fighting Illini. In the 200-yard breaststroke, she broke an FIU pool record against Liberty in a time of 2:15.
