PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for Week 3 of the college football season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Riley Ferguson • Sr. • QB • Memphis • Matthews, N.C.
Also chosen as the Walter Camp national offensive player of the week, Ferguson completed 23 of 38 passes for 398 yards and six touchdowns to lead Memphis to a 48-45 win against No. 25 UCLA. He threw four TD passes in the first half and threw the game-winning touchdown pass in the fourth quarter after UCLA had taken the lead.
