IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, January 15.
Player of the Week
Danae McNeal, Sr., G, East Carolina
McNeal repeats as the Player of the Week after averaging 27 points and four steals against Temple and SMU. The senior guard scored a career-high 28 points in the win over the Owls before adding 26 points and six steals at SMU. McNeal scored 22 points in the second half to help the Pirates overcome an 18-point deficit and force overtime.
