PROVIDENCE, R.I. – East Carolina junior Tim Conover was named the American Men's Golf Player of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Conover posted a Top 5 finish after tying for fourth in a field of 90 at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Mar. 5-7 at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, South Carolina. The junior finished with a 54-hole total of 2-under 208 (71-70-67) and moved up 12 places in the final round with his 3-under 67 on Tuesday. Conover, who finished in front of five ranked players, led the Pirates to a fifth-place finish in the team standings.
