IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, February 26.
Player of the Week
Danae McNeal, Sr., G, East Carolina
McNeal had a dominant week for the Pirates, averaging 29 points, three rebounds and 2.5 steals in two games. In the triple overtime win over Houston, McNeal scored a game-high 34 points while playing 53 of the 55 minutes. She led the team with 24 points at Tulane. She has scored 20 or more points in four of the past five games.
