PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s first weekly women’s basketball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 24.
Player of the Week

Thomas poured in a career-high 29 points to lead all scorers in Cincinnati’s 72-53 win over Chattanooga on Tuesday. She added a game-high seven rebounds with three assists and a block in 36 minutes. Thomas hit her point total on 12-of-18 (66.7 percent) shooting from the field and 5-of-7 from the foul line. Her performance bettered her previous career-high of 25 points, which she scored last week against Ohio State.
