PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s lacrosse honors, for the week ending Monday, March 25.
Attacker of the Week
Monica Borzillo * Jr. * Cincinnati
Borzillo poured in 10 goals along with four assists for 14 points in a pair of Cincinnati wins last week. In the Bearcats’ key 17-11 victory over San Diego State on Friday, she scored four goals including a free position score, while recording an assist, three ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. Two days later, Borzillo tied her own single-game program record with six goals against Gardner-Webb, assisting on three other scores to finish with nine points.
