Big Fourth Quarter Pushes Army Past Kansas State, 24-21

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Quarterback Cale Hellums ran for two touchdowns, including the go-ahead 14-yarder with 2:52 remaining, as Army rallied past Kansas State 24-21 on Saturday night at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Hellums powered the Black Knights (1-1) with 124 rushing yards on 41 carries and added a 2-yard touchdown pass to Brady Anderson on the final play of the first half. He engineered a pair of long scoring drives in the fourth quarter — Dawson Jones’ 35-yard field goal cut the deficit to four, and the decisive 56-yard march ended with Hellums’ second rushing score.
