PROVIDENCE, RI – The American Athletic Conference will celebrate the academic and athletic achievements and successes of its more than 7,500 student-athletes from the 2019-20 school year beginning today as the Conference, in conjunction with the league’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, has designated this upcoming week (April 6-10) American Student-Athlete Appreciation Week. The American plans to highlight the accomplishments of the past year throughout the week in a show of appreciation to student-athletes from its 13 member institutions whose seasons abruptly ended and were cut short by the COVID-19 virus.
The week will kick off with a Student-Athlete Thank You video produced by 4th Floor Creative in Norwood, Ohio as part of National Student-Athlete Day on Monday, April 6.
