PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the 15th week of the college basketball season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Shizz Alston, Jr. - Temple - Sr. - G - Philadelphia, Pa.
Alston, Jr., earns his third American Player of the Week honor this season as he averaged 26.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 2-0 week. He led the Owls to a victory over SMU and an overtime win at USF. Against the Mustangs the senior scored 13-straight Temple points, 15-of-18, and assisted on the lone basket not scored by him, in a stretch run to keep SMU at bay.
