PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the sixth week of the college basketball season.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Shizz Alston, Jr. – Temple – Sr. – G – Philadelphia, Pa.
Alston, Jr. averaged 27.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.5 steals in 2-0 week for the Owls which featured wins over UMass and rv/- Davidson. The senior scored a career-high 31 points and made a steal in the final seconds to secure the 65-63 win over UMass.
