LAKEWOOD RANCH, Florida – Sixth-seeded Rice defeated No. 3 seed Rice, 1-0, in the second quarterfinal of the 2025 American Women’s Soccer Championship, Monday, November 3 at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
With the win, the Owls (10-3-5) will play No. 7 seed South Florida, which defeated Charlotte 3-0 earlier on Monday, in the semifinals on Thursday, November 6 at 4 p.m. Eastern on ESPN+. Tulsa falls to 9-6-5 on the season.
Rice led in shots 10-6 in the first half and forced Tulsa goalkeeper Tatum Sanders into six saves, but the match was scoreless at the break.
