Saturday night's win may have seemed lackluster and a lot closer than many would have liked to see, but winning ugly tells me more about this Alabama team than if they had blown out LSU. The offensive execution was lacking for a majority of the game, but that says more about the Tigers' defense. That defense has carried them all season, as this has been one of the most disappointing offenses in America, considering all the pre-season hype.
Kane Wommack's defense came out on fire after the bye week and carried the Tide to victory. It is refreshing to see this unit continue to be stingy inside the redzone and being able to keep their energy up even when the offense is not seeing the same success.
