Alabama football’s veteran linebacker, Deontae Lawson is eyeing a return to the football field for the Tide’s season opener against Florida State.
Lawson suffered a season-ending injury against Oklahoma during the 2024 season. He missed the spring as he recovered from the injury.
The Mobile product now looks to make a return to the field on Aug. 30 with Alabama taking the necessary precautions to make sure he is able to do so.
“I’ve been running around a good bit, doing everything the team does,” Lawson said. “I think I’ll be ready. I won’t take every rep, but they’ll definitely monitor me, make sure I’m ready to go for August 30th.
