Why Nick Saban's A&M 'rat poison' rant is more relevant than ever for Alabama

Inside a room buried deep in the guts of Kyle Field, Nick Saban's eyes narrowed and he began to wince. His team had just defeated Texas A&M, 27-19, in a taut, tense affair that didn't resemble any of the previous five games Alabama had played, and the Tide's head coach was simmering.

A reporter at the postgame news conference had just asked Saban about Alabama's offensive struggles in the first quarter.

"We just didn't play as well tonight and you have to give them a lot of credit for it," Saban began.

He then shrugged a couple of times and gathered himself before gearing up to deliver the most memorable quote of the 2017 season.
