Devan Thompkins is joining the Crimson Tide after transferring from USC.
Thompkins spent four years with the Trojans. He took a redshirt after his freshman season, ultimately leaving him with one year of eligibility. He will be spending his last year of college football with the Tide.
The California native signed with USC as a smaller 6-foot-6, 220-pound three-star edge. He was explosive and athletic at that size, and he looked as if he was going to be an edge at the next level.
