Jermaine Burton is earning his opportunity to be Alabama’s No. 1 wide receiver in the fall.
As a transfer from the Georgia Bulldogs, he has turned in a good spring.
Burton has impressed Coach Nick Saban, wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins, and his teammates with his leadership and work ethic. He excelled in the Crimson Tide’s first scrimmage, and Saban highlighted him for big plays in the second game-like practice. Credible sources confirmed to Touchdown Alabama Magazine about Burton catching seven passes, including two touchdowns. One of his scores went for 97 yards as he displayed pure speed and explosiveness at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
