Alabama football’s quarterback, Ty Simpson is taking a rare approach to his college football career during the transfer portal era.
The Tennessee product has stuck with the Crimson Tide since signing as a five-star recruit despite earning very limited meaningful playing time over the last three football seasons. Simpson reflected back on his decision to stay at Alabama through Nick Saban retiring and him serving as a backup while talking to reporters at the Manning Passing Academy.
“It was hard,” Simpson said. “There were some days where I was like, “What am I doing here?”” But I reflect back to my signing day and choosing Alabama, understanding that there’s no place I’d rather be.
