Despite spending four years at Alabama, Ty Simpson started for just one, playing only 15 games in 2025. That number is inflated by college football’s expanded postseason, but still, with just one year of tape, he’s an outlier among recent first-round draft picks, most of whom took advantage of additional years of eligibility granted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
