Tua Tagovailoa’s ankle injury ‘not as serious’ as last year, per Alabama’s Nick Saban

More good news for Alabama fans to cheer about.

Not only is Tua Tagovailoa ahead of schedule, in terms of getting back to play versus LSU, but Nick Saban decided to shed more light on the situation via the Golic and Wingo show on ESPN.

According to the Crimson Tide’s head football coach, the ankle injury suffered by the junior quarterback against Tennessee is ‘not as serious’ as the one from last season. Despite him stating how tricky ankle sprains can be, Saban said the injury did not happen to his plant foot to throw.

“So hopefully, in a couple of weeks, we’ll be able to have him back on the field,” Saban said of Tagovailoa.
