Trent Richardson works out for NFL team, reports indicate

Former Alabama All-American Trent Richardson worked out for the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

ESPN and NBC Sports were among the news outlets reporting that the Chiefs worked out a pair of running backs on Tuesday – Richardson and former Mississippi State standout Vick Ballard.

The Chiefs put two-time All-Pro running back Jamaal Charles on injured reserve on Tuesday because of a persistent knee problem. Charles has played in three games this season, carrying the ball 12 times for 40 yards and one touchdown.

Spencer Ware is Kansas City's leading rusher in 2016 with 511 yards on 102 carries.
