Wednesday, Howard posted a video of himself catching passes from sophomore quarterback David Cornwell at a high school football field in Houston. Howard, who was the offensive MVP of the national championship game, also posted a pic of himself trying his hand at a TopGolf location in Houston.
Howard had five receptions for 208 yards and two TDs — his only scoring receptions of the season — in the title-game win over Clemson, then somewhat surprisingly decided to return for his senior season. Cornwell is competing with junior Cooper Bateman, redshirt freshman Blake Barnett and true freshman Jalen Hurts for the starting quarterback job.
