Just how often does a 1,000-yard running back block a punt? For most schools, probably never. But for one Crimson Tide special teamer, the sight wasn’t a shock.
Count Alabama linebacker Keith Holcombe as one player who wasn’t surprised to see teammate Damien Harris in the game to deliver a key blocked punt during last week’s victory over Florida State.
Holcombe said that special teams duties are just part of the job, even for Crimson Tide stars like Harris, in an interview posted by the athletic department.
“People were surprised that Damien was still out there,” Holcombe said.
