Texas A&M fought back from a 3-0 deficit, scoring three times in the third and once in the eighth to hand Alabama a heartbreaking 4-3 loss on Wednesday.
Alabama sent freshman Jake Walters to the mound to take on Texas A&M ace Grayson Long on Wednesday morning at the SEC Tournament. Long defeated the Tide earlier this season, pitching six innings and striking out 14 batters while allowing three hits and one walk in the previous outing. Two plays at the plate defined the game, with both going in the Aggies favor.
The Tide fared a little better against Long in this contest, jumping out to a quick 2-0 lead after two innings.
