Even a little rain shower couldn't keep a smile off Dan Waters' face.
It wasn't just that three of his runners advanced from preliminaries to finals or that one of his track and field standouts finished third in her event. It was instead the collection of sheer talent concentrated inside the Sam Bailey Track facility Thursday for the opening day of the SEC Track and Field Championships.
"Never has there ever been such an assembly of great athletes on Alabama's campus at one time," Waters said. "There's probably 40 Olympians here.
