This year’s Alabama defense has big potential to rival its 2016 group

Will Alabama football return to being respected on defense?

After two scrimmages, Pete Golding and the first-team unit are not playing around. The same intensity was at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, and it forced sacks, dropped passes, and interceptions. Nick Saban noted the success coming from Alabama’s rushing attack; however, the defense is tired of taking a back seat. When it came to the first-team group, the players received a positive stroke from Coach Saban. As for the second-teamers, there is still some improvement needed to be made.

Bryce Young and Paul Tyson were pressured a lot in the first scrimmage, and nothing was different this time.
