It’s a lesson Tennessee Titans’ running back Derrick Henry is learning as he patiently waits for his “big” break in the NFL. The former Alabama All-American and 2015 Heisman Trophy winner had a productive rookie campaign playing second fiddle to DeMarco Murray in the Titans’ backfield. But like every other NFL player, the desire to start and taste success might mean waiting longer than expected.
One NFL Hall of Famer and former SEC running back had some advice for Henry as he enters his second season as a pro.
“I think Derrick, he just has to be patient, and his time will come,” Terrell Davis told AL.
