Star Alabama WR is generating Heisman buzz after tremendous start vs. Wisconsin

Coming into this season, Alabama fans would not have been surprised to see a WR generate Heisman Trophy buzz. They just would have expected it to be star sophomore Ryan Williams. Instead, it's senior Germie Bernard, who has been the biggest weapon for the Tide's offense through 2.5 games.

Alabama took a 21-0 lead into halftime against Wisconsin in large part due to a terrific performance from Bernard. He scored a pivotal early touchdown on a two-yard run on a 4th-and-1 from the two with the game knotted at zero. Alabama had already failed to convert a 4th down earlier on their first drive, and with his back against the wall, OC Ryan Grubb knew where he wanted to go with the football:

Later in the first half, Ty Simpson delivered a rope to Bernard across the middle that went for a 43-yard touchdown:

Ty Simpson is making throws with anticipation, and with a fully healthy WR corps, Alabama's passing attack looks absolutely lethal.
