Shaun Dion Hamilton 'about as smart a player as you can find'

In Zach Brown and Mason Foster, the Washington Redskins have a pair of 250-pound inside linebackers. In the sixth round of the NFL Draft on April 28, Washington added one who weighed 228 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine -- Alabama's Shaun Dion Hamilton.

Hamilton's college coach, Nick Saban, said the Redskins needn't be concerned about the linebacker's size. He comes up big where it counts -- between his ears.

"He is really, really smart and makes everyone around him play better," Saban told ESPN about Hamilton. "Very, very instinctive. He plays with good power for his size because he's not a great big guy, but he can strike out of his hips and has some power.
