Seminoles’ WR Da’Vante Phillips facing five felony charges, suspended indefinitely

Alabama head coach Nick Saban may be receiving some heat following his decision to not suspend senior defensive end Da’Shawn Hand; however, his former offensive coordinator at Louisiana State University (Jimbo Fisher) is currently in a difficult situation himself.

Florida State’s junior wide receiver Da’Vante Phillips has been ‘indefinitely suspended’ due to facing five felony charges, according to a report from Jim Henry of the Tallahassee Democrat.

Before the news occurred, the four-star prospect and Miami (Fla.) native was in position to be a marquee contributor in the upcoming season. Phillips, who stands at 6-foot-1 and 206 pounds, is a product of Miami Central High School.
