BIRMINGHAM | It wasn’t quite a changing of the guards, that’s likely to come in July at SEC Media Days, but the conference’s two head men sat beside the other Monday afternoon in a question-and-answer session with reporters during an Associated Press Sports Editors regional meeting at the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.
In an hour-long discussion, current commissioner Mike Slive and his successor, Greg Sankey, addressed several issues facing the conference, not the least of which was Sankey’s agenda for his first year on the job, which he officially begins Aug.
