Second-year Alabama DB dealing with shoulder injury

One of Alabama's young defensive backs is dealing with a potentially long-term injury.

Sophomore safety Daniel Wright has a shoulder issue that, according to Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban, may prevent him from playing this season.

"I don't think we've come to a conclusion on what the best course of action is," Saban said. "(Alabama team surgeon) Dr. Cain and the family are sort of working through that right now. We're hopeful that this is something that can be managed and maybe he can play this season. But that kind of remains to be seen."

Losing Wright, who has missed the Tide's last two practices, would be a big blow for Alabama's special teams.
