SEC commissioner Greg Sankey issued a statement following the public comments made by Alabama head coach Nick Saban and Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher about each other’s respective programs.
Saban claimed during an event in Birmingham, Ala., that the Aggies purchased their entire recruiting class this past season, with Fisher firing back with an emotional press conference where he claimed Saban had some malpractices in his own past.

“The membership of the Southeastern Conference has established expectations for conduct and sportsmanship that were not met last night nor today,” said Sankey.
