Scott Lashley announces his decision to transfer from Alabama

With the departure of Jerome Ford to the University of Cincinnati, Alabama football is losing its second player via the transfer portal. After reports stated that Scott Lashley had entered his name into the portal, the former four-star announced Thursday on Twitter that he is transferring.

The 6-foot-7, 307-pound offensive lineman will enter his redshirt senior year next fall and already has his degree.

A native of West Point, Miss., Lashley was signed in the Crimson Tide’s 2016 recruiting class and played in 19 career games. He saw 136 snaps combined as a backup right tackle in 2018 and 2019 – including 58 snaps through eight games last season.
