Saban tells what was most important to him besides winning as he is inducted into Hall of Fame

Nick Saban was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday.

Saban retired from coaching college football in January of 2024. He finished his coaching career with seven National Championships. Six of those championships came during a dynastic run with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The college football legend and arguably the greatest coach the sport has ever seen spoke on a panel alongside Urban Meyer on Tuesday, and he revealed what he wanted his program to prioritize outside of the wins on the gridiron.

“But besides all the wins, the most important thing to us was always how do we create value for players,” Saban said.
