Quinnen Williams turned in a big performance for New York Jets, despite losing effort to 49ers

When the New York Jets get C.J. Mosley back in 2021 and draft more pieces on defense, the franchise will be in position to create noise in the National Football League. The decision to select Quinnen Williams at No. 3 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft was a great move by the team, and results from the choice stood out in the Jets’ meeting with the San Francisco 49ers.

Despite a 31-13 loss at home, Williams paced a defense that forced three sacks of Jimmy Garoppolo and Nick Mullens.

The 6-foot-3, 303-pound defensive lineman led the Jets in tackles (seven), including two tackles for loss, two sacks and one quarterback hit.
