Alabama has two games left on its regular season schedule, but its hope for the College Football Playoff remains alive.
The Crimson Tide will face Western Carolina on Saturday for senior day; however, one player will not be involved. Jeffery “Scooby” Carter, a freshman, placed his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Monday.
A native of Mansfield, Texas, Carter was a four-star via Touchdown Alabama Magazine and one of the top cornerbacks in the 2019 recruiting cycle.
With him gone, it hurts Alabama in terms of depth – yet it has talent returning next year.
