Patrick Surtain II is expecting big things from the Denver Broncos defense in the fall.
He was one of six Alabama football alums taken in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Surtain had an impressive first season in the National Football League, making Pro Football Writers Association’s All-Rookie Team. He finished tied for third on Denver’s defense for total tackles (58) and carried a team-high 14 pass deflections. Surtain picked off four passes, including one for a touchdown. He is excited to have Russell Wilson as the Broncos’ starting quarterback, but Surtain wants to get the better of him at times too.
