No. 6 Alabama's 16-run outburst takes series with No. 16 Missouri

After dropping the first game of the series, No. 6 Alabama responded harshly.

A 16-2 win over Missouri on Monday was the second straight run-rule win over the Tigers to take the series. Following the 7-3 Game 1 loss, the Crimson Tide outscored the visitors 25-3. The 16 runs scored in Game 3 was the most for Alabama since recording 19 against South Carolina in 2012.

Alabama (29-6, 3-3 SEC) did it with a 12-run second inning to start the rout. The outburst included a two-run single from Kallie Case and three-run homers from both Marisa Runyon and Reagan Dykes.
