NFL playoffs: New England Patriots earn spot in Super Bowl LII

The New England Patriots made the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history last year, overcoming a 25-point deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in the NFL championship game.

The Patriots will defend that title in Super Bowl LII after overcoming a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-20 in the AFC championship game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Sunday.

New England quarterback Tom Brady threw two touchdown passes to wide receiver Danny Amendola in the final period - a 9-yarder with 8:44 to play and a 4-yarder with 2:48 to play.

Brady led the comeback with an injured throwing hand that required stitches to close a gash on Wednesday and without tight end Rob Gronkowski, who was knocked out of the game late in the first half.
