The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year and former Alabama cornerback Pat Surtain stamped Zabien Brown after the sophomore came up big in the playoff against Oklahoma.
“Certified Dawg!” Surtain posted to X after Brown returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown.
The play put the Crimson Tide in position to completely reset at halftime with the score tied at 17. Brown told reporters how the play came to be after the game.
“We’re in a lot of cover zero, and we just ran a simulated kind of cover two,” Brown said.
