NFL Contracts: Former Tide players with new deals and those unsigned

So far the biggest news in NFL contracts and former Alabama football players has been extensions to avoid players becoming free agents. Amari Cooper reportedly walked away from more money available from the Washington Redskins to remain a Dallas Cowboy. The payoff for Amari was a five-year, $100M extension.

Jarran Reed signed a two-year, $23M extension to stay with the Seattle Seahawks. A.J. McCarron gained a one-year contract to remain with the Texans for $4M. Before the current new deal frenzy hit, Eddie Jackson signed a five-year extension to remain with the Chicago Bears for $58.4M. During the NFL season, Julio Jones extended with the Atlanta Falcons for three years and a total of $66M.
