Reports last week that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones was heading for surgery on Monday turned out to be true.
On Monday night, the former Alabama star posted on Instagram about his surgery and thanked those who had prayed for him.
Jones missed two games in December with a sprained toe. For the Falcons' final seven games -- four regular-season and three postseason contests -- Jones was listed as a full participant on the game-week practice report once. He missed eight practices and was a limited participant in 10.
