Jeremy Pruitt is set to receive a significant pay raise after being installed as Tennessee's head coach.
He will earn a base salary of $275,000 and supplemental compensation that amounts to $3,525,000, according to a memorandum of understanding signed Thursday by Pruitt, Tennessee athletics director Phillip Fulmer, school chancellor Beverly Davenport and the university's chief financial officer David Miller.
That's an annual package worth $3.8 million.
Pruitt, Alabama's outgoing defensive coordinator, also has the chance to earn more money if he wins big in Knoxville.
Pruitt can net $300,000 for winning the SEC Championship game and an additional $500,000 if he leads the Volunteers to a national championship.
