The University of Alabama softball program received its fourth and final National Letter of Intent for the early signing period, adding middle infielder Claire Jenkins of Cullman. She joins other early signees, catcher Bailey Hemphill and utility players Gabrielle Callaway and Elissa Brown.
Jenkins was named to the 2015 AHSAA Class 6A All-Tournament team and was the Area 15 Player of the Year. She is a two-time all-state and all-area selection and was named the 2014 All-Area 15 Hitter of the Year. She made AL.com’s 2015 Softball Super All-State Team and is listed on FloSoftball’s ‘Hot 100’ list for the class of 2016.
