Jase McClellan shown putting in major offseason work ahead of sophomore season

Jase McClellan is going after more carries this season as a sophomore.

Regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic, the native Texan still recorded big plays in Alabama’s rushing attack. He collected two touchdowns, including the longest run (80 yards) by a running back in 2020. The former four-star averaged a team-high 10.6 yards per carry on 23 attempts. Alabama secured an undefeated national championship with Najee Harris last year; however, McClellan looks to be more explosive. Brad Lester, an elite performance coach at The Speed Genius in Atlanta, has been training McClellan this offseason. As a former Auburn standout, Lester helped Harris become a first-round pick in the NFL Draft.
