It’s too bad Tide can’t play Minkah Fitzpatrick at each position in the secondary — at same time

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Minkah Fitzpatrick can do it all – but he can’t do it all.

Let me explain.

Fitzpatrick, a junior safety, can play any position in the secondary, but not on the same play.

In Saturday’s 41-23 win over Colorado State, Fitzpatrick played close to the line of scrimmage and blitzed to help Alabama create a pass rush. He recorded six tackles and batted down a pass on a blitz.

Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said before the season how the rest of the secondary played would determine where Fitzpatrick lined up.
