It is not Big AL, but Alabama football has a new elephant on campus

The University of Alabama has a new member on campus, and fans will see it on A-Day.

Big AL is the school’s beloved mascot. One can see him at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Coleman Coliseum, Rhoads Stadium, Foster Auditorium, Sewell-Thomas Stadium, or anywhere the Crimson Tide has an athletic event. He has witnessed many national championships and brought joy to Tide fans everywhere. Hopefully, he is ready to share the stage with another elephant.

According to Alabama Athletics on Twitter, a 19-foot, seven-ton bronze statue of an elephant has been installed on campus.

“Tuska” was given to UA by the Westervelt Company, according to a report from WFSA Channel 12 News.
